Youth Ministries

St. George believes that our youth are the future of our parish and Orthodoxy.

Accordingly, we invest much time and effort in providing multiple avenues for our youth to grow and flourish in a Orthodox Christian context through education, socialization, spiritual growth, volunteer opportunities, and other growth-opportunity outlets.

During the school year, our children participate in Sunday School classes aimed at teaching the essentials of Orthodox Christianity at a pace and in way that is appropriate and engaging for every age group.

A
dditionally there are opportunities to participate in the yearly Diocesan conferences, Creative Arts Festival and the Midwest Diocese Basketball Tournament.  St. George seeks to create an environment in which our youth can develop and hone the skills to be productive, loving, and Christ centered representatives to make a positive impact for our parish and community at large.

Sunday School

Engaging Our Youth to Live Fulfilled God Centered Lives

We plan our programs to engage each stage of children's development to aid them in their path to understanding the life of the church, our history, and worshiping God.

Sunday School starts 10:30 AM

We strive to nourish our youth in teaching that both engages their young minds while also teaching important principals of our values, history, faith, and worship. We create a safe and nurturing environment in which the next generation of Christians can grow up to be loving, strong, and faithful in all aspects of a God centric life.

Antiochian Village

Summer Camp

The Antiochian Village Summer Camp Program serves young people ages 9-17 who come to attend one of four two-week sessions.

One of the main goals of the Village Camp program is to present to young people a living experience of the Holy Orthodox Faith in their relationship with God and other campers in an uncluttered, natural environment.

Special Olympics Traning Camp

Each year more than 300 Special Olympic Pennsylvania athletes and Teen SOYO coaches gather for this week-long camp that focuses on sports training. The athletes train in many events and in the evenings enjoy dances, karaoke night, carnival night, movie night and much more.

This is offered at no cost to the athletes as an ongoing ministry of the Antiochian Village Camp and NAC Teen SOYO.
